Three Peaks

Preuss Tower – Preuss crack

In the footsteps of Paul Preuss: the striking crack-corner of 1911.

The smallest of the group, often called the “fifth peak”, shows its hardest side. Its easiest line was opened in a single afternoon by the famous Paul Preuss – without pitons.

The striking crack-corner splits the north-east face and still bears witness to the great achievement of Paul Preuss and Paul Relly, who first climbed it in 1911.
